Download & Install

Download Postiller from the App Store and open it on your iPhone or iPad.

  • Postiller requires iOS 17 or later
  • All data is stored locally on your device
  • No account creation required

Add Your API Keys

Connect your own AI provider accounts to enable content generation.

  • Go to Settings → API Keys
  • Add keys from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or xAI
  • You only need one provider to get started
  • Keys are encrypted and stored locally

Save Your First Bookmark

Use the Safari Share Extension to capture interesting content.

  • Open any article or page in Safari
  • Tap the Share button → Postiller
  • The page content is automatically extracted
  • Add optional notes or tags

Capture Ideas

Jot down thoughts, observations, and inspiration as they come to you.

  • Tap the + button on the Ideas tab
  • Write your thought—no formatting required
  • Add hashtags to categorize (#marketing, #product, etc.)
  • Ideas are matched with relevant bookmarks automatically

Create a Persona

Define your voice so AI-generated content sounds like you.

  • Go to Settings → Personas → Add Persona
  • Give it a name (e.g., "LinkedIn Professional")
  • Describe the tone, style, and characteristics
  • Include example phrases or topics to focus on

Assign Models to Tasks

Configure which AI model handles each type of task for optimal results and cost.

  • Go to Settings → Model Assignment
  • Choose models for each task type (content generation, summarization, etc.)
  • Use powerful models (GPT-4o, Claude Sonnet) for content generation
  • Use faster/cheaper models (GPT-4o-mini, Gemini Flash) for summaries and tagging
  • On-device models handle embeddings and basic tasks for free

Generate Your First Post

Transform your bookmarks and ideas into polished content.

  • Select a bookmark or idea
  • Tap "Generate Post"
  • Choose your persona and platform
  • Review, edit, and refine the output
  • Copy to clipboard or share directly

Type natural questions like "articles about productivity" to find relevant content across all your bookmarks and ideas.

Batch Your Captures

Save bookmarks throughout the week, then set aside time to review and generate content from your best finds.

Refine Your Personas

The more specific your persona descriptions, the better the AI output. Include phrases you commonly use and topics you care about.

Edit the Output

AI-generated content is a starting point. Add your personal touch, specific examples, and authentic voice before posting.

About API Costs

AI content generation uses your own API keys. You pay providers directly at their standard rates—typically $1-5 per month for personal use. On-device features like semantic search are completely free and don't require any API keys.
